A stunning piece of architectural salvage out of a Brooklyn NY brownstone.
Pictures here show (the first picture is the piece shown, pictures 2 & 3 show it at a wider angle with an ajoining door that is NOT part of this listing!) the quartersawn oak built-in cabinet before it was taken out - and the pieces as they exist now - I have bought the contents of this salvaged brownstone and although I was told it was all labeled and identified.
What I know I have for this stellar piece is a beveled glass door that measures 70.5" tall by 38.5" wide - original beveled glass, original golden oak varnish -
Two side panels - raised panel - 8' tall by 12" deep or wide
Rope trim that is 3" in diameter that sits in corners - two huge 9'4" tall and 7" wide pilasters - protrude 6.5" - heavily carved and the most beautiful look.
A drawer that is 38.5" wide and 19" deep and 10" tall-
This would amazing re-used in an old or new home.
Given the delicate nature of the glass as well as the pile of items that goes with this - will need to be picked up or sent with our blanket wrap delivery service.
This piece is a once in a lifetime chance - having something like this remade today would be several thousands of dollars - not to mention the old growth quartersawn wood would be impossible to replicate!
Has the most beautiful grain - quarter sawn oak - pictures in NO way give this set justice!
