Baccarat Crystal Victor Hugo Inkwell. Designed by Robert Rigot exclusively for Baccarat Crystal. Only 450 ever made. Original retail was ,200.
This monumental inkwell, "The Victor Hugo", has 6 flat cut sides, a 24 point star in the bottom.
Its shape was derived from a drawing in the Baccarat archives dated 1864.
This masterpiece is an absolute must have for all serious Baccarat Crystal collectors.
The inkwell and lid are in excellent condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, or clouding.
‘Baccarat’ acid etched signature is on the side of the base along with the etched number for this particular piece (415/450). The iconic ‘Baccarat logo is also etched on the underside. Authenticity guaranteed.
Measures 5.75” tall x 6.25” wide. Very heavy at 8 pounds.
