31"x82" Antique Swinging Door w/4 Raised Panels
Elegant, antique, interior, swinging door salvaged from an old home in  Northeastern Pennsylvania.
The door  is  made of  solid Douglas Fir or pine and has a traditional, Victorian  style, 4-panel  arrangement. The panels are raised on both sides, and the door is also painted  on both sides
.
When most people hear "pine" they think of a cheap,  weak, and    soft wood. New pine hewn from 10 - 20 year old trees  doesn't have the same    insect-resistant,  rot-resistant, or even  fire-resistant qualities that old    pine, hewn from trees  hundreds  of years old has.
Old     pine is also much harder and stronger than young pine
.
Hardware

he  door is equipped with a functional, spring-loaded, pivot hinge. We have cover  plates and push plates, and pivot hinges for the top of the door as well

Condition
:
Considering that the door is about 100 years old, it's in great  shape!
It's  strong and sturdy, and only h
as  the typical scrapes, scratches, and  small nail holes that you would expect to  find on a door this old. These  blemishes could be filled or removed during the  finishing process. Whatever  remains will be covered by paint  or appear as a  "character mark" if you choose  to stain and finish.
Refinish/Repaint

We could refinish, repaint, or partially or completely strip the door to prepare it for you to repaint or refinish.

Swing
:
This is considered a swinging door, because it was designed to swing back and forth on pivot hinges.
Modification

We could also modify this door to fit your opening or suite your needs. We could make a frame, trim or add to the height or width, replace  wooden panels with glass, reverse the swing, plug the hardware holes, add decorative embellishments, etc. Email us with a small description of what you would like done, and we'll give you a quote.
