Description
This is for an original late 1950’s Bat Masterson Twirling Cane / Walking Stick which was made famous on television by Gene Barry who played the western legend. Almost every cowboy who was on television had their own line of toys from the Lone Ranger to Roy Rogers to Hopalong Cassidy. It’s the lesser known characters whose line of merchandise usually brings the most money, like an Alan Ladd cap gun. Not many of these canes could have survived. They were produced by the Carnell Manufacturing Company in extremely limited numbers. The cane is 30” long and the silver cane top is 3 ¼ long and 2 1/8 in diameter. The cane top is silver plastic with most of the silver remaining intact and features the name Bat Masterson stamped on the top of the plastic. The cane shaft itself is black painted wood and the silver tip of the cane shows some wear while missing some of the chrome. The top of the cane is also very slightly loose, and both the top and bottom chrome are easy fixes. The cane is the original real deal and not one of the replicas that are being sold today. Not many of these could have survived to make the trip to 2022. A must have for any western collection.Check out the scans and email with any questions.
